The innovative split design (first introduced and designed by Beansoft in 2010) quickly set the industry standard for tablet input. Thumb Keyboard was designed from the ground up to be extremely flexible; it puts the user in control to insure the best possible experience when using an Android tablet. But we didn’t stop at tablets; we went on to create a custom split layout for Android(TM) Phones as well. Lets face it, phones these days seem to be getting bigger and bigger, so why not let the user decide which layout is best suited for their needs? The split design can drastically speed up your input time without having to learn a fancy new input method (or wait around for an input method to learn you!). Android is all about choice, and so are we. The choice is in your hands.

The keyboard includes layouts that are optimized for every screen size. It provides optimized layouts for small phones, big phones, 7″ – 8.9″ tablets, 9.2″ – 10.1″ tablets, “phablets”. We made sure that our keyboard feels natural on each of these screen sizes. Split, regular… we made them fit we high precision.
One-handed operation mode for large-screen phones
We know that you love your new large-screen phone. And you are right! It’s a pleasure to browse, read and navigate on these devices. But you don’t like it to be a two-handed phone all the time, right? Well here’s our latest addition to the innovation we started with Thumb Keyboard: a one-handed (one-thumb) operated keyboard.
We added an easy toggle so you can switch fast between the normal portrait layout and this new one-handed layout.
Innovative split design for portrait mode
Yes we did it again! Inspiration from our landscape design lead to this cutting-edge split layout. This (patent pending) layout is ergonomically designed to give you the best typing experience while operating your Android phone in portrait mode. The keyboard is split into two blocks which are positioned diagonally from each rather than the traditional meththod
THE ADVANTAGES:

More than 25 Themes
Thumb Keyboard comes with 25+ themes (preinstalled and downloadable). To make the choosing a theme easy a coverflow viewer is included with previews of the selectable themes:

With this release it is also possible to change the secondary symbols on the letter keys of thumb keyboard with a simple editor :
International users
It’s also possible to assign accented characters like é å á î etc etc. Now you can just enter your specific language characters by just long pressing on a letter. What’s best, you can decide which letter to use… And with multi-touch capitalizing that letter is a breeze… Just hold shift and long press on the letter key. Entering accented letters is now as fast as entering a regular letter. (Tip: you can additionally turn of the popup keyboards in the settings and customize the long press duration)

Typing by …. not typing
Madness!! But no, we are serious! We incorporated a whole new prediction model into our already feature-full keyboard. A prediction method that no competitor can rival. What exactly is this prediction method? Well just take a look at the picture above. Still don’t get it? Here, We’ll explain.
The prediction method (called Bigram prediction) uses a special algorithm to determine what your next word would be based on the previous word. You see, the traditional method of text prediction involves an algorithm that makes you enter at least 3 letters before the system will begin guessing what your trying to say. With Bigram prediction only need to enter ONE letter and it will begin finding the best possible match to the word your thinking of. This is a unique feature because this new prediction method not only looks at the previous word but also sees how the words are used in the context of the sentence. Don’t worry though, it’s just a computer doing it’s job-big brother is NOT watching you. Clever right?
10. Text to speech
In addition to voice to text, our keyboard contains yet another innovative feature: text-to-speech. This (optional) feature will say the words you write the moment you enter them in your text. This way you can concentrate on what you write instead of monitoring the typos you make.
